Honky
Theater
When a young African American is shot for a pair of basketball shoes, sales triple among white teens. Meanwhile, a new pill guaranteed cure racism, advertises that if you don’t think you need it – you’re probably a racist. HONKY takes satiric look at the symbiotic relationship between racism and commercialism, while at the same time asking the question — is white guilt only for white people?

Written by Greg Kalleres and directed by Luke Harlan, Honky had its world premiere at Urban Stages in NYC. It was a New York Times and Time Out Critic's Pick and enjoyed 2 sold-out runs in 2013. Honky is currently in development for future opportunities beyond the stage. Please contact me for more information.
